The Blowing Energy

The wind turbine technology has come a long way. Earlier there were only horizontal wind turbines in use. But now there are a wide variety of wind energy systems that are specific to the diverse needs of the customers. The wind turbine investment has also gone up. The two major types of wind turbines are the horizontal and the vertical wind turbines. The horizontal wind turbines can be further classified into the two blade and the three blade wind turbines.

With the advancement of technology, there are now hybrid turbine systems in use. The wind turbines generate power as per its size. The size of the turbine influences the quantity of power generated. Smaller wind mills produce power below 50 kilowatts whereas larger wind turbines produce more than this capacity and may run into several megawatts.

Wind mills are the smaller wind turbines and can be grouped together in a wind farm. The wind mills are also called utility scale turbines that are connected to the central lines for transmitting and distributing bulk to the local utility grid.

Interesting idea. However, its size really is a problem, since it need to be big to produce more energy, it can just be put in certain place where have enough space.
