2018 Annual Conference
CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
May 2-4, 2018 ∙ Toftrees Resort ∙ State College, PA
The PAEP Annual Conference Planning Committee is pleased to announce that the 2018 Annual Conference will take place Wednesday, May 2nd through Friday, May 4th at Toftrees Resort located in State College, PA.
The theme for the 2018 Annual Conference, “Branches of Knowledge”, will promote and teach about the unique, interdisciplinary nature of environmental careers and will exemplify the importance of using various fields of study to help analyze and solve environmental issues. For this reason, we are looking for a large variety of environmental topics for the conference presentations, which may include, but is not limited to:
- Green Stormwater Management
- Environmental Engineering
- Air Quality Monitoring
- Natural Resources
- Green Innovation
- Environmental Hazards
- Soils Science
- Environmental Compliance/Permits
- Climate Change Research
- Water Resources
- Government/Regulatory Updates
- Environmental Restoration
For over 30 years, the PAEP Annual Conference has provided an educational and conducive environment to learn about important issues affecting our careers, lives, and world. We would like to invite all environmental professionals to submit proposals for presentations for the upcoming conference. As always, PAEP is interested in presentations that are innovative, relevant, educational, and motivational.
We need your submissions/suggestions/ideas to help us make the 2018 PAEP Conference the best yet! Have you recently worked on a paper or project that you feel would be of interest to our attendees? Is there something innovative or new happening in your profession/field of expertise that you would like to present on or have a panel discussion about? Feel free to volunteer yourself, a speaker you have heard in the past, a colleague, or a student that you think might be a great addition to our speaker lineup.
All presentation proposals must be submitted by using the link below:
Registration is free for all conference presenters on the day of their presentation. Presenters will be required to pay for attendance to supplementary conference events (such as the Annual Banquet, Off-Site Tour, etc.) or to attend additional days of the conference beyond the day of their presentation. The presenter is also responsible for all other expenses related to travel, hotel, and non-conference meals.The deadline for submissions is Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 6:00 pm, so please get your presentation ideas in as soon as possible. The Planning Committee will select and notify presenters in early-December. Selected presenters will then submit a signed agreement provided by the PAEP office to confirm their arrangement. Presentations should be approximately 40 to 45 minutes long. If you need more time, please let us know as we can accommodate this.
